Puss in Bed is an online library of scanned zines and printed matters

It’s a word play on pustaka (library) and the many cats that roam our shared house called Bedeng.
It's warm, a little cheeky, and 100% us.

Most of our initial collection comes from Indisczine Partij, a now-disbanded zine and publishing study collective in Indonesia. Since then, the library has grown thanks to friends & colleagues 

By hand, page by page, with care. We aim to preserve the texture, quirks, and soul of the original prints while making them readable. We use regular flatbed scanners.

All zines are hosted on archive.org and linked through our website (you're already there)

Yes, absolutely! You can contribute the zine that you made, or the zine that you collect.

Send us your scans, your out-of-print material, or that one photocopied zine you thought no one remembered. We'll gladly give it a digital shelf.

We focus on printed zines and self-published materials because we value the physicality of print culture—its texture, form, and presence. Many of these printed works are fragile, rare, or no longer in circulation. By digitizing them, we hope to preserve them for the long term and make them accessible to more people, especially as time wears down physical copies.

We truly appreciate digital zines too—but since they already exist in reproducible formats (and are usually hosted by the creators themselves), they don’t need us in the same way. We see our role more as caretakers of print ephemera that risk being lost or forgotten.

Totally. We don’t charge, gatekeep, or track. This is a non-profit and independent project run out of love, not money. But we are more than happy to accept your donation!

Because these publications deserve a longer life. Because memory matters. They're worth keeping and sharing. Because we are privileged enough to read all of this and not want to keep it only to ourselves
