Bedeng Akademi Subkultur

Bedeng Akademi Subkultur is a shared living and working space for artists and cultural practitioners, based in Kampung Ngadiwinatan, Yogyakarta.

Many of the publications here come from a collection once held by Indisczinepartij, a zine and independent publishing study group in Yogyakarta who shared shelf space at Bedeng. After the group disbanded, the publications remained accessible within the space.

Over time, the collection continues to grow through friends and visitors who leave their publications on the shelves.

Puss in Bed emerged from this environment, shaped by living alongside these materials and the everyday access to them.
